Gli spiriti erranti di chi è morto durante l'anno tornano indietro la notte del 31 ottobre in cerca di un una nuova vita, infatti è buon uso lasciare almeno nel periodo tra il 30 ottobre ed il 4 novembre, nelle vostre tavole qualcosa per gli spiriti, un bicchiere di acqua un pezzo di pane, un pò di cena, così allieterete un'anima in pena, come è tradizione anche lasciare accesa una luce guida, una candela per dare "luce pace e serenità" alle anime erranti.
